West Coast Cooking Weekend

Dates:

22 – 24 May 2009
12 – 14 June 2009

Join us on a fun culinary adventure in Paternoster and discover the wonders of the “Salt Coast”. Arrive in the village and kick off with an “all hands on deck” seafood cook-up. Rest and relax in fisherman style houses and sleep well clearing out the cobwebs with the fresh, salt air.

Catch and early morning brisk walk to build up an appetite for a scrummy breakfast. Explore the village by our culinary guidelines and get to know the locals through our version of a “foodie amazing race”. Late afternoon meet up in the large open plan kitchen at Salt Coast for a cooking session, each learning to prepare a simple and impressive meal, picking up professional tips and hints along the way. Kick back and enjoy all the culinary creations. Retire and rest well. Head for the Cape Coloumbine nature reserve and learn about the indigenous foods which have been used for centauries along this coastline. Warm up with good coffee and breakfast bites before bidding farewell to fellow cooks. Meander home through the Riebeeck Valley and taste and buy some wonderful olive products to stock your shelves back home. You’ve got mail……… your recipes will be waiting for you.

Cost Per Person R 1800.00

Excludes Drinks (please bring your own) and accommodation – we are happy to assist and recommend
